A veteran-led practice in a garrison town.
Pathfinder Counseling Group is an outpatient counseling practice on Hatcher Lane in Clarksville, Tennessee. Healing begins with compassion, trust, and understanding, a safe, supportive space for individuals, couples, and families.
Who we are
Pathfinder Counseling Group, LLC is a private counseling practice in Clarksville, serving Montgomery County and the surrounding area. Our clinicians work with adults, couples, families, teenagers, and young children, individually and together, depending on what the situation needs.
The practice is veteran-led, and that is not a marketing line in this town. Fort Campbell shapes Clarksville: who lives here, who moves away, whose spouse is gone for nine months, whose kid started third grade at a school they had never seen. A great deal of what we see in this office is downstream of that, and none of it needs to be explained from scratch here.
We also see plenty of people with no connection to the military at all. Being veteran-led means our default assumptions fit military life. It does not mean the door is narrow.
For clients who want it, Christian counseling is also offered, faith can be part of the conversation when that is a natural fit for you. It is available, not required; you set the tone for how much (if any) spirituality belongs in the work.
How we practice
Our clinicians bring different training, trauma-focused work including EMDR, play therapy for young children, couples and family systems work, cognitive behavioral approaches for anxiety and depression, and use what fits the person in front of them.
What is consistent is the posture: you are a participant in your own treatment. You should be able to say, at any point, what you are working on and why. If you cannot, ask your clinician, and expect a straight answer.
What we are not
We are an outpatient practice. We do not provide emergency or crisis services, inpatient treatment, or psychiatric medication management. If you need any of those, we will help you find them, and if you are in crisis right now, call or text 988 (press 1 for the Veterans Crisis Line) or call 911.
Where we are
Our office is at 101 Hatcher Lane, Suite D in Clarksville, open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Secure video sessions are available for clients anywhere in Tennessee, which matters if you are driving in from Palmyra or working a shift schedule that does not respect office hours.
Four things you can hold us to.
Plain talk
You will be told what we think, what the plan is, and why. If something is outside what we do, we say so and point you somewhere better.
A person answers
One office, one main line, and a front desk that picks up during business hours. Getting an appointment should not be the hardest part of getting help.
Fit over convenience
Matching you with the right clinician matters more than filling the next open slot. If the match is wrong, we move you.
Your pace
Nobody is pushed into hard material before they are ready, and nobody is kept in therapy longer than the work requires.
Ready when you are
Call the office, or send a note and we will get back to you during business hours.
